Hello earthlings, I'm finally blogging, again!
Well, two YCs have just ended, and it was a BLAST.
This post is for the Assist Team.
Hey guys! I had lots and lots and lots of fun during these 6 days. These bunch of kids, we've definitely changed their lives, and it's for the better. Nothing else makes me even happier than knowing that we've worked as a team, and achieved so much together.
Being in programmes, it's not just about leading a team individually and changing the participants' lives though. It's about working together with the rest of the assist team, and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. It's about caring for each other, and making sure that all of us are feeling well. It's about learning with every step we take, and improving for every mistake made. It's about telling each other truthfully about their weak points, in order for them to rise up to their fullest potential. It's also about appreciating the efforts we've made, and celebrating it as a team.
For every programme, not only do we change the participants' lives, but we also change ours too. Our comfort zone is forever expanding, and we grow even more matured. We'll always take back something from the programmes and apply it in life. We learn how to appreciate people more, and the team grows stronger as one.
All of you really touched my heart. From the sweat that trickles down our neck after every breath-taking dance session to the genuine smiles on your faces after every hug, you guys remind me of why I am in the team, for every single day.
It's the assist team that changed my life and inspired me, to become an assist. It's the assist team that made me truly moved on from my past, to become a happier person. It's the assist team, that allowed me to be myself, that showed me that they loved me for who I am.
It is us, the assist team, that's gonna do the same, to every participant that we have.
This is the reason of why I'm here. To be with you guys, to be an assist, to change people's lives.
I love being an assist. And I love the Assist team. You guys will forever be held dear in my heart. No matter what obstacles each of us face, we'll conquer it together, as one.
Cause that's what being a team is about.
Believe To Achieve, team. Don't be afraid of your dreams, for you're capable for Anything, as long as you believe.
Failure is never an option.
