What have all of you been up to?

My UTs are finally over and the holidays are here! In addition, work @ The Rolling Pin starts tomorrow! *beams*

What's the rolling pin?

It's this bakery shop that caught my eye a few months ago, and I'm actually hired to be an assistant baker!

Well, those that have added me on Facebook probably know what I've been up to today.

I baked Chewy Peanut Butter Doggy Treats!

The process is really simple, and I'm going to provide you guys with the recipe okay? (:

What you'll need is

Equipment:
Rolling pin
Wooden board
Cookie cutters (optional)
Baking paper

Ingredients:
175g plain flour
5g of flour for dusting
2 tablespoons of peanut butter
1/2 a cup of hot water

NOTE:
Wheat flour can be used too actually, especially if you want more fiber intake. More peanut butter can also be added, but it's best not to exceed more than 3.5 tablespoons as it's really high in fat content (':

1. Preheat your oven to 175 Degrees.

2. Gradually add the hot water and peanut butter into the flour. (DO NOT add all the water in one go, your dough may become too watery to form.)

3. After your dough has formed, mix in the peanut butter until even.

Your dough should look like this.

4. Dust your wooden board and rolling pin with flour. (This should be noted with high importance to prevent your dough from sticking onto the equipment.)

5. Roll out the dough to about 2 inches. (LOOK AT THAT PRETTY DOUGHHH!)

6. Cut the dough into desired shapes.

7. Layout baking paper onto tray and place the dough on them.

8. Bake for 10 minutes.

Anddddddddd, TAH-DAAAH!

R.I.P Mr Teddy Treat. (':

It isn't difficult, isn't it?

What's more is that, it contains no preservatives. That means NO fur loss! Unlike humans, dogs have no found allergies against peanuts, so they're completely safe for consumption! Plus my dog really seems to enjoy it. Hehe.

Well, that's all for today guys. (:

Till next time!

Love,
Natalie Lim

What about today?

*Wipes dust off*

YHELLO GUYS!

I'm back! (: UT3 has begun and I'm only left with two more papers to go. Right after that, it'd be the uber long break for me!

I'm glad to say that my UT2 grades have improved too, as compared to UT1. *beams*

So what have I been up to?

Well, let's start with Valentine's Day, 14th February 2013.

My boyfriend came by my house in the wee hours of the morning, just to give me a bouquet of roses! Thank you darling, love you! (:

Of course, I prepared something too!

A VIDEO!

Do click on the link above if you'd like to watch it, I'm not going to put it in this post as it screws up my paragraphs. ):

It isn't much, but I hope he likes it. (:

We didn't spend the entire day together though, as he had exams. I spent the afternoon playing Okami on PS3 till 5-ish, where he came back to pick me up for dinner!

We went to Buddy Hoagies, a small restaurant beside Beauty World.

It isn't anything grand, but it's price was pretty reasonable! To top it off, I really loved the sauce that went with my steak, and my boyfriend and I felt really full!

He then sent me home after that, and I'd just like to say another big thank you to him. I love you Hans.

And that's all for Valentine's Day!

The next thing that I'd like to talk about is Compassion. If you missed the very first picture uploaded on this post, please scroll back to read it again.

Why Compassion?

Just yesterday, I was all worn-out from having my UT, and all I could think of was going back home. I walked the long and terrible journey from RP to woodlands interchange, and when my bus came, I was so glad that I could actually get a seat.

The journey home was terrible though. I had to sit at the outside seat, and I hate it. It makes me feel so insecure, like I'd topple off any moment and just backflip myself to the ground. Plus, I really love window seats. ): To add it on, it was the seat that made me face the back of the bus instead of the front. I detest those seats the most as they make me nauseous.

Who actually likes to sit there? It's like wanting to have eyes at the back of your head. Horrid seats.

It wasn't helping much too, that the bus was so squeezeyyy, and I must say, that it's so f**king difficult to play Temple Run 2 when everyone's trying to flatten you right into the bus window.

I got really cranky at a point of time, as when I almost had a chance to beat my high score, suddenly, the bus decided to jerk.

I obviously almost fell off my seat, and you bet that I died in Temple Run too.

Heads up for a second, my highscore is a 975 thousand! *insert evil laugh*

*ahem*

BUT BACK TO THE POINT,

It was about 15 minutes to my stop, when I finally had the chance to move into the window seat.

Just when I thought that things were finally gonna get better, I then smelled a horrid stench.

Do you remember back when you were in your primary school days? Where you played catching/badminton/basketball under the scorching sun, and ran like hell during PE, only to perspire like a pig and then smell like one at the end of the day? That musky salty smell.

I smelled it then. But this time, it was about 10x stronger. I swear, it felt like I was sharing the bus with thousands of these primary school kids. What made it worse was that the air con above me was blowing this stench all over me.

The stench made me look up from my Temple Run, and I realized that even the auntie sitting opposite me was cringing her nose too.

It didn't take me very long to find out that the stench came from beside me, and so much was going through my head.

"Who the hell can actually stink so bad?"
"Didn't you bathe before you went out?"
"God, you're so inconsiderate."

I was even thinking of moving away and standing for the rest of the journey.

But when I turned my head around to check the culprit, I then caught a glimpse of what he was wearing.

A mud stained ragged shirt, with a faded white text saying,

"CSC Enterprises".

He was a construction worker., a man in his late fifties, sixties tops.

My heart sank, as I realized of how obnoxious I was being.

He was simply a worker that was dead beat from work, and the air con from the bus was probably the best luxury that he could have right there and then.

It isn't really his fault for smelling bad, isn't it?
It isn't his choice to smell like that either.
And it most certainly isn't much of him to just ask for some rest on a bus.

I decided to sit right where I was, and I spent the rest of the journey reflecting upon this.

You know, definition of words are always easy to find.

But to truly understand what it means, that's a different thing.

On that day, I finally understood it.

There will always be people that are less fortunate than us, and yes. It'd be difficult for us to understand their plight, much less put ourselves in their shoes. What's most important is that we spare a thought for them, as they too, are human.

I hope that some of you would be able to take something out of this experience of mine.

With that, I'm signing off.

Love,
Natalie Lim

Hello guys, (:

As promised, here's my post!

Well well, I've been up to a lot recently. I've many photos to show you guys, but I've lost my phone's USB cable.

Shit.

What a moment to lose my cable when I've got pictures of the gorgeous food I ate in Morganfield @ StarVista..

I promise that the content in my phone will be shown to you guys ASAP, right after I borrow my boyfriend's cable okay? (':

ANYWAY,

My exams are almost over, and I'm currently playing Okami on PS3!

It's this game that I've played ever since it was on PS2, (AND THAT WAS IN 2006!) and boy oh boy, do I love this game.

I would really love to explain how this game works to you guys, but I'm not going to.

Why?

The explanation is all in this Youtube comment.

Hence, I'll let its Youtube video do the talking instead!

HOW DOES IT LOOK?

It has the most unique gameplay ever, and it drives me crazy to think that I'm playing as a m*therfucking wolf that draws! Plus, its definition has definitely improved by a scale ever since it's launch on PS2!

It's a perfect game, and I'm still talking so much about it when I'm on the phone with my boyfriend.

"BABY, I'm drawing a cherry bomb! BOOM! Oh no, I need to power slash power slash power slash!"

Then my boyfriend tells me that he understands no shit that I'm saying. (':

But well, he has recently pampered me with a specially designed mug for me!

I'm sorry for the shitty quality of the images though, we all know how terrible the Itouch's camera is.

Isn't he sweeeet

To top it off, I was cooing over how cute a pen was and when I refused to buy it, he went back and purchased it for me.

 *melts*

Thank you darling! (:

We've been up to a lot of cooking too! We've recently baked a batch of cornflake cookies, and cooked some ribeye steak and pan fried salmon!

They turned out great! But then again, the pictures are in my phone. ): I'll upload the pictures next time okay?

In the mean time, my poor doggie is still having the ticks bite ):

She simply looks so sad because none of my family members dare to go near her nor touch her when she's having the ticks. I came home only to find her following me all around the house, begging me to hold her.

I'll still love you no matter what, you tiny little doggieeee.

By the way, I call her Mrs Taps.

Why Taps? Because whenever she walks, her paws makes these tiny tapping sounds that's so terribly cuteeee. She's not married though. I only call her Mrs. because Miss Taps just don't sound flow-y.

Gaah. I sound like an absolute idiot now. Judge me then,

Annddddddddd, that's all for today guys!

I'm at the top 90% in Tetris on Facebook, and I'm off to claim my prize now!

Okay. That's enough.

Till next time!

Love,
Natalie Ishot
