But are you willing to pay the price your freedom will cost?
Hello, world.
I've been spending the past two days at my boyfriend's house, as my relative passed away and there isn't anyone at home. I would like to thank his mummy for making sure that my stomach's always filled! (:
Hmm, here's a picture of the breakfast I've made for myself before going to his house!
A sauteed
sausage, baked
hashbrown, tiny
omelette and a sprinkle of some
parsley and mozzarella
cheese! Sounds yummy, right? (:
And this was today's breakfast!
A
sunny side-up, a
sweetened egg, a lil' bit of
sausages and a
mozzarella cheese toast! (:
As you can see, my breakfast ingredients are always revolving around those items.
Well, it's making do of what you have, and sometimes, playing around with the ingredients results in other creations!
Take the sweetened egg for an instance. It was actually done by my boyfriend whom had decided to come over to have breakfast with me. As he loved the Tamago sushi, he decided to add sugar into the usual egg mixture!
For those that do not know what's a Tamago sushi, it's actually an egg which is fried with sugar, soy sauce and mirin. (:
He also cut the sausages into numbers, which represented the date that we got together! (;
24.03.2012.
It was also his
first time trying to cook a sunny side-up, and boy, was it difficult to teach him. I look forward to the one day that he's finally able to cook one by himself!
Anyway, I'd like to talk about second chances today.
I'm pretty sure that everyone has heard of King Midas? The king whom wished for everything he touched to turn into gold? Classic fairy tale.
The thing is, sometimes, a fairy tale
isn't just a bed time story. It isn't just a story that's said to pass time.
In the end, King Midas almost starved to death because he couldn't eat. The only reason of why he survived, was that he was given a second chance to make another wish. WHICH, was to of course, remove the first wish that he has asked for.
You know, life is funny. We're human, and so we make mistakes.
From time to time, we screw up chances that are given to us.
If we're lucky, we get another try. If we're not, then it's bye bye to opportunity!
There's only one thing to learn from this, and that's to always make the most out of what is given to you, no matter how important it is.
Chances are not always given, and they should never be taken for granted.
I just don't get of how some people never learn from their mistakes, and they think that repeating it is fine. They're usually egged on by the people who keep giving in to them, giving them the illusion that whatever they're doing is totally okay.
They just don't see the consequences of what they're doing.
*facepalms* Well of course, it's probably because they never had had to face any consequences.
Like, I'm sick and tired of being nice and being all trampled upon, are you? Giving chances to those that do not deserve them, only because you think that they'll probably change after they've realized the mistake is done.
Some people do learn from their mistake and they'd cherish the second chance given to them. Some people don't.
I mean, it is called a second chance for a reason, right?
I've never heard of such things like third chance or forth chance.
It's
ridiculous.
Cherish your chances, and make the most out of everything. That's all to it.
And fairy tales aren't all merry after all.
Well lookie, in actual fact, King Midas
wasn't given a second chance to remove his wish, and he really starved to death.
Not a very pretty ending, aye?
And that's all for it.
Went shopping with my girlfriend today, and as usual, I annoyed the hell out of her. We were at orchard, and with soooo many $1 pushcart ice creams, I definitely needed to stop to get one.
ICE CREAAAAAAAAAM!
I obviously took the one with the shortest queue, and I ordered my favourite sweet corn ice cream in a cup.
To my horror, with the shortest queue, apparently, it meant getting the thinnest bar of ice cream in my whole life. As I walked on the street, I saw other people with even thicker bars of ice cream. GODDAMMIT.
And so I complained, and I whined, and I did a little cry, all about the ice cream I was cheated of.
Le' girlfriend annoyed.
Would like to thank her for shopping with me though. ^~^
There's guitar class tomorrow, and it'd be my third last lesson. Apparently, the new teacher isn't teaching me what I need to learn, and I need to move on.
Currently trying to find a cooking class.
And that's all folks! (:
Love,
